I have closed twenty hires across ten-plus interview drives, calibrated backend and system-design loops, and spent five years as an engineering manager writing the promotion and hiring cases that sit on the other side of the table. I know what a panel actually argues about after you leave the room.
Sessions are $10. That is not a discount hook — it is priced so the cost is never the reason you skip the practice.
Four formats
System design
A real prompt at your target level, driven the way a panel drives it: scoping, storage, failure modes, then the follow-ups people freeze on.
Backend and Java
Coding plus design review — Spring Boot, concurrency, API contracts, and the code-quality questions senior loops actually score.
Engineering manager
People and delivery scenarios: underperformance, attrition risk, prioritisation under pressure, and the stories you should be telling.
Resume and levelling
Where your resume is under-selling you, which level to target, and what evidence a panel needs to place you there.
How a session runs
- Tell me the company, the level and the round you are preparing for.
- We run it live for the full time, in the format that round uses. No coaching mid-answer.
- Last ten minutes: I break character and we go through what a panel would have said.
- Written scorecard within 24 hours — rubric scores, the specific gaps, and what to drill next.
What you get
Five axes, one to five, with the sentence a panellist would have written beside each.
Yours to keep. Most people learn more from watching their own scoping than from any feedback I give.
Two or three specific exercises for the weakest axis, sized to a week.
If you are not ready for the level you are targeting, I will say so and tell you what is missing.
