About
I am a solutions architect based in Bengaluru, sixteen years into building distributed, fault-tolerant systems for healthcare and financial services. Java and Spring Boot are my working language; AWS and Kubernetes are where the systems live; event-driven architecture is how they scale.
At AthenaHealth I owned architecture for a platform serving over 50 million requests a day at 99.99% uptime, migrated production workloads from ECS to EKS by hand, and ran clinical data interoperability with Cerner, CommonWell and CareQuality over HL7 FHIR and SMART on FHIR — work that lifted provider adoption 23%.
I also managed the team. Five years of formal people leadership: grew the group from five to ten, closed twenty hires across ten drives, built three successful promotion cases, and lost one person in four years.
The AI work came out of impatience with our own delivery speed. I designed a spec-driven, AI-integrated development workflow, took it across seven teams and thirty-five engineers, and cut cycle time 60%. Then I built a clinical summarisation engine that cut record-review time 35%. Both are the reason I now spend most of my time on agentic systems.
Experience
Owned architecture for a platform serving 50M+ requests a day at 99.99% uptime. Led the ECS-to-EKS migration, clinical interoperability with Cerner, CommonWell and CareQuality, an AI summarisation engine, and the spec-driven workflow adopted by 35 engineers. Managed a team of ten.
Technical design and architecture for cloud-native healthcare services — HLD and LLD, microservices and event-driven patterns, design and code review across the platform.
Prototyping, design and architecture for a mobile micro-financial product. Drove delivery end to end from sprint planning through QA.
Back-end modules for a low-latency capital-markets platform, leading a small team and working as software designer in the financial domain.
Built the seller panel from scratch on Spring Boot, working directly with client teams on requirements.
Application components, role-based access control and JUnit test suites on enterprise telecom and payments products.
